Lars Etzkorn<\/h2>\n

\"Lars<\/a>Lars’ legal practice focuses on estate and life planning, trust and estate administration, charitable giving and governance. He works with individuals and families, and with local and national cultural, education and health organizations.<\/p>\n

He started his legal career as Counsel with the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, and was then Counselor to the Vice Chair at the Interstate Commerce Commission. Lars served also in senior and cabinet appointments for four mayors in two cities (Bosley and Harmon in St. Louis, MO; Williams and Fenty in Washington, DC).<\/p>\n

In addition to practicing law, Lars serves on the National Advisory Council for the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement at Washington University in St. Louis, and is a member of the boards of Dumbarton Arts & Education and the Cosmos Club Historic Preservation Foundation. Also, he is a Fellow of Salzburg Global in Austria. By mayoral appointment he was a member of the DC Commission on National and Community Service (Serve DC) and Vice Chair of the Saint Elizabeths East Advisory Board. In addition, he was a Trustee and Treasurer of Olney Friends School, in Barnesville, Ohio; a board member and Treasurer of the National Capital Gift Planning Council; a board member and Secretary of the DowntownDC Foundation; and, a member of the Alumni Board of Governors at Washington University in St. Louis.<\/p>\n

A cum laude<\/em> graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law, where he was Editor in Chief of the Saint Louis University Public Law Review<\/em>, Lars received his A.B. in history from Washington University in St. Louis. He is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, in the states of Maryland and Missouri, and in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Lars lives in the District and in Provincetown with his husband, Gregory Hoss, an architect, and their energetic dachshund, Ella Louise.<\/p>\n
